Overview:
Working with buy side transaction attorneys and provide assistance on:
Essential Job Requirements:
• Respond to and handle anti-money laundering know-your-customer requests from banks, broker-dealers and other counterparties.
• Review and complete documents for opening of accounts – DDA accounts, custody accounts, and escrow accounts.
• Correspond with internal departments on compliance, investor, and portfolio related queries.
• Support regulatory filings and handle the associated database maintenance for counterparty agreements and significant investments.
• Handle derivative confirmations.
• Review and complete subscription agreements.
• Handle and safeguard sensitive information.
• Understand corporate structures and corporate documents.
• Review trading agreements for manifest errors in support of execution.
• Prepare execution versions of agreements.
• Participate in special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Paralegal certificate preferred
Experience:
• 5-10+ years as a corporate paralegal in a law firm or a bank / broker-dealer; four years preferred.
• Exposure to corporate documents, regulatory filings, trading agreements, and derivatives documentation.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
$90,000 to $135,000
