Manager of Commission Accounting

Our client, a financial services firm, is seeking a Manager of Commission Accounting in their NYC office.
Participate in the accounting and finance processes and controls over internal and external financial reporting, and product control.
Prepare and maintain the firms Employee Forgivable Loan and CASH ad masterfile’s including calculation of monthly amortization, interest and loan forgiveness, reserve calculation analysis
Performs month end close pertaining to Loan and equity accounting utilizing Oracle General Ledger system
Compensation footnotes for 10K and 10Q
Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, evaluate adequacy of expense accruals, resolving issues, and escalate key items to management timely
Responsible for interacting with internal and external auditors on a regular basis
Qualifications and Requirements:
7+ years in an accounting role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field
Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks and manage team priorities and workload
Advanced analytical and Excel capabilities, project management skills, and ability to multitask
Critical thinking, team oriented views, attention to detail, communication - excellent oral and writing skills
