Our client, a leading international bank, is seeking a Director – Human Resources Business Partner in their NYC office. The ideal candidate should have a strong ability to partner and lead specialty functions of Human Resources and the experience working collaboratively to facilitate the delivery of H/R support in numerous locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units while applying the appropriate level of confidentiality
  • Consult and partner with senior leaders by advising senior business leaders to ensure talent strategy, goals, and priorities to help the firm succeed
  • Provide front-line HR Business Partner support for assigned coverage groups
  • Oversee the operating model for covered clients, and assess impact of any changes on existing talent
  • Understand market forces and business strategy, and translate those requirements to talent-related requirements
  • Facilitate development and execution of talent strategy with covered clients
  • Evaluate trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Identify HR’s contribution to realizing clients objectives and leverage HR services or program


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of H/R experience, with related industry experience, ideally supporting IT, Operations and related corporate functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organization Development or related field
  • Experience leading projects and helping to foster/create a positive working environment
  • Experience designing, building and implementing H/R functional programs, policies, tools and procedures
  • Proven success managing multiple priorities & projects through successful delivery and implementation under time, budget and political pressure
