Digital Marketing Contractor

Our client, a boutique investment manager, is seeking a Digital Marketing Contractor in their NYC office. The Contractor’s primary focus is to support the distribution and maintenance of marketing content across all delivery platforms including, but not limited to the website, social media and email. This applies to written-, multimedia- and data- content that may change from weekly up to annually. The role is responsible for both manually published content as well as ensuring that automated content is published correctly and timely. The Contractor should possess financial services marketing (preferred, but not required), email, web and social media publishing and communications skills that helps distribute the firm’s product and thought leadership across all delivery platforms.
The Contractor will be a minimum of three months, likely longer. MUST have Marketo experience, Episerver experience preferred (but not required).
Ownership of daily email marketing production/publishing in support of all business lines. This includes email creation (using content from Product Management, Communication and Marketing), management of approvals and distribution.
Ownership of daily web marketing production/publishing in support of all business lines. This includes website content publishing (blogs, banner images, campaigns page content, videos, etc).
Ownership of non-paid (organic) search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for web properties. Ensures that all web content/pages/images are optimized with meta-data, alt-tags and page copy to ensure highest ranking in organic search results. Partner with Communications team to align paid key words are reflected on website.
Work with a cross-departmental team, to provide input on a master email / website marketing content calendar for all 7 business channels.
Participate to help organize and manage target content for organization’s web properties within the CMS platform to further support email efforts.
Excel at HTML/CSS coding and knowledge of technical web coding practices, with an emphasis on email and website marketing coding best practices.
Other duties assigned
Education: Four-year college or equivalent education and experience. A degree in Integrated Marketing, Computer Science, English, Economics, or Communications, a plus.
Knowledge of and experience working with an email publishing tool (Marketo), Social Media tool (Hootsuite) and content management system (Episerver). Others platforms a plus.
Expert understanding of the web development/production cycle, including knowledge of cross-browser/platform issues.
Basic front end development experience focused on easy-to-use and fluid interfaces.
Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager that monitors agreed upon KPIs and digital metrics, preferred.
