Overview

Our client, an asset management firm, is seeking a Compensation Manager in their NYC office. The ideal candidate should be a professional, dependable, energetic individual with excellent attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines.  

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Director in managing all aspects of the company’s compensation process (coordinating the year-end compensation process, reviewing payroll processing, and preparing financial statements for the 401(k) audit)
  • Coordinate with department heads in compensation decisions
  • Participate in the preparation of the compensation forecast for annual budget
  • Responsible for preparing yearly company benchmarking analysis with external vendor
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Liaise with company employees and executives regarding critical compensation communication
  • Responsible for overseeing multi-state payroll with ADP 
  • Oversee the processing of payroll for foreign entities 
  • Maintain and administer all aspects of accounting for the Company’s stock and cash based incentive plans

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a Compensation role required 
  • Detail oriented
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information
  • Excellent computer skills required, especially with the Microsoft Office product suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive projects to completion independently, while also functioning effectively in a team environment
  • Supervisory experience required
