AVP Fixed Income Product Manager

Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking an AVP Fixed Income Product Manager in their New York office. The position will serve dual roles, including driving product strategy initiatives for the Tax-Efficient Fixed Income franchise. The individual will work closely with portfolio management team and internal and external constituents on product specific matters. This position also entails leading and coordinating the product marketing efforts, and providing marketing support for the company’s taxable fixed income strategy suite.
Product Management/Infrastructure: work with legal, compliance, accounting and trading functions on matters related to the covered strategies. Involvement in product-related initiatives that pertain to each client distribution channel.
Investment Team-Related: Work closely with PMs to become deeply knowledgeable of each strategy and process of each investment product supported. Develop a detailed understanding of strategies, current investment themes, knowledge of all portfolio holdings and their positioning, and risk attributes of the strategy. Manage internal and external experience for products and work with marketing to support strategy specific content.
Product Marketing: Ensure that fixed income franchises are clear and consistent throughout all forms of product marketing, create product and client-channel specific marketing and meeting material. Develop and execute a clear plan for assets growth and retention. Ensure that marketing resources for designated investment strategies are delivered on a timely and accurate basis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of related experience, excellent analytical and system abilities, superior project management skills, and strong product marketing experience across mediums and client channels. Required that the candidate has Series 65 certification; Series 7 and 63, MBA/CFA are preferred. You must have strong investment acumen and knowledge of economics, capital markets, and municipal and taxable fixed income strategies.
